Aly Tandian is an associate professor in sociology at Gaston Berger University in Senegal. He is also the CEO and founder of the Research Laboratory on Gender, Environment, Religion and Migration (GERM). He has received numerous international awards and scholarships, among them the 2008 Bourse d’Excellence de l’Agence Universitaire Francophone.
