Nicole Paganini is a scholar-activist with nearly a decade of experience in urban food systems transformation. In 2025, she completed the  four-year action-research programme Urban Food Futures, led by TMG Research, a Berlin-based think tank. Her work focuses on the  food-violence nexus, food security, and food system transformation, with a strong emphasis on social justice. She applies feminist and decolonial methods in her research, aiming to create more equitable and sustainable urban food systems. Nicole obtained a PhD from Hohenheim University for her work on a food justice perspective in urban agriculture.
