The Climate Change and the Zambezi River Basin research and documentation project is funded by the Henrich Böll Foundation and implemented by Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC). The goal of the project is “improved access to information on the impacts of climate change on the water resources of the Zambezi River Basin is made available to decision makers and civil society actors”.

The project seeks to gather information and knowledge, and create awareness on the impact of climate change on livelihoods and water resources, their use and management in the Zambezi Basin. The project collects, documents and disseminates information on the impact of climate change in Zambezi basin; highlights the differential impacts (by gender) of climate change on availability, use and management of water resources by communities in the Zambezi Basin; develops a one-stop shop for climate change information as it relates to water resources management in the Zambezi Basin, and uses available forums such as the annual Zambezi Stakeholders Dialogue or the SADC Water Symposium to share key findings on climate change in the Zambezi River Basin.
